  • Planning, research and investigation, investment environment research and recommendations, edit and publish investment promotion documents, information and technology services contact, and administrative support. The important tasks are as follows:

  • (1) Planning, research and investigation.

  • (2) Congressional liaison, press and public relations.

  • (3) Compilation and publication of investment-related laws, regulations, and other publications.

  • (4) Compilation and publication of investment environment profiles of various countries.

  • (5) Comprehensive administrative services.

  • (6) Services for the business promotion committees of Taiwan’s 22 counties and cities.

  • (7) Handle investment issues for international organizations such as the WTO, OECD, and APEC etc..

Inbound Investment Section

  • Investment services in the United States, Canada, Japan, and Europe (except for Central Europe and Eastern Europe), New Zealand, and Australia.

    The important tasks are as follows:

  • (1) Investment and operational services for overseas Chinese and foreigners investing in Taiwan.

  • (2) Collection and compilation of information on the economic environment and relevant laws and regulations of the administrative regions.

  • (3) Promotion of international investment promotion programs in Europe, the United States and Japan.

  • (4) Regular interaction with Chambers of Commerce of overseas Chinese in the U.S.、Europe and Japan.

  • (5) Promote the implementation of the project plan of the InvesTaiwan.

  • (6) The maintenance of operation of InvesTaiwan website.

  • (7) Recruitment of overseas talents.

  • (8) The consultation services for bilateral investment agreements, FTA/ECA investment chapters, CPTPP/RCEP issues etc. (only for responsible jurisdiction).

Outbound investment Section

  • Investment services in Asia (except for Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau and Mongolia), Central and South America, the Middle East, Africa, Oceania (except for Australia and New Zealand), and Central and Eastern Europe. The important tasks are as follows:

  • (1) Promotion of two-way investment services in the administrative regions.

  • (2) Collection and compilation of the information on the economic environments and relevant laws and regulations of the administrative regions.

  • (3) Guidance services for Taiwanese companies investing abroad.

  • (4) The promotion and execution of International cooperation program.

  • (5) The consultation services for bilateral investment agreements, FTA/ECA investment chapters, CPTPP/RCEP issues etc.(only for responsible jurisdiction).

Taiwanese Entrepreneur Services Section

  • Taiwan Business Joint Service Center, Taiwanese companies returning to invest in Taiwan, mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau’s investments, the affairs of contact and services for global Taiwanese business organizations. The important tasks are as follows:

  • (1) Taiwan Business Joint Service Center window affairs.

  • (2) The service window for Taiwanese companies returning to invest in Taiwan.

  • (3) Promotion of Taiwanese business mentoring plan.

  • (4) Services for mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau investing in Taiwan.

  • (5) Chamber of Commerce organization subsidy application.

  • (6) Coordination of investment disputes between Taiwanese companies in mainland China.

  • (7) Contact and services for global Taiwanese business organizations.

  • (8) Research and promotion of sustainable investment and corporate social responsibility.
